how to make it feel like the 2000s

if you're like me and absolutely love the 2000s, here's some things that I do, and you can do to make it feel like we are still living in the early 2000s!

step 1: music

one of the most iconic parts of the early 2000s was the music. in my opinion I think we had one of the best eras of music. we had that music that made you feel like a diva and wanna dance your booty off. Below is the link to my Ultimate 2000s Playlist which has all the goods! (you can also find it on my homepage!)

step 2: fashion

everyone knows how iconic 2000s fashion was. from the juicy couture track suits to the low rise denim, so good. some staple pieces that you can wear on the daily that will make it feel like the early 2000s is of course those velour track suits, low rise jeans and jean shorts, capris!!!!, big sunglasses, layers, french tips, and you cant forget about wedges!

step 3: lifestyle

instead of just listening to music on your phone, go to the thrift, grab a CD player and some CDs and use that instead. listening to music on my CD player instead of my phone when I get ready makes me feel so nostalgic and makes me feel like a 2000s diva while I do my makeup. use a digital camera instead of your phone. the quality is better on a phone but something in me just loves those old grainy looking pictures. change up your decor. there are so many things you can find in the thrift store to make your room or your house feel like the 2000s. I currently have a full Juicy Couture bed set and I have been saving up house decor that I have been finding for my future house. watch 2000s shows and movies! my current fave is Friday night lights obviously! but some other good ones are vampire diaries, one tree hill, how to lose a guy in 10 days, white chicks, and honestly any shows I grew up watching like h2o and drake and josh. even going to stores or restaurants that remind you of the 2000s. I know not many places from the 2000s are still around but sometimes just going to barnes and noble or panera gives me that nostalgic tuscan 2000s feeling.

conclusion:

if you put on a pair of wedges, capri jeans, and some chunky sunglasses, doing anything and going anywhere can feel like the 2000s if you want it to!!!
